Little Miss 22 Month Old!One year ago today we were China bound!!! We departed Minneapolis on Thursday, September 4, 2008 on NW19 at 3:00 p.m. and arrived in Beijing, China at 9:35 p.m. China time. What an exciting and exhilarating time this was for us as we had waited nearly 3 years to see Danika’s face.
We are amazed at how fast this past year has flown by with Danika in our lives. She is now talking up a storm and mimicking every action of Mama and Dada and the other day as I arrived to get her at daycare I witnessed her doing 4 chin ups on the monkey bars… unassisted by any adult supervision. I’m telling you, we have an Olympic Gymnast on our hands!
We are so blessed to see Danika’s gentle and loving spirit develop even more in these recent months. She is tender hearted and loves to care for her “babies” by covering them with blankets, feeding them bottles and rocking them to sleep. She loves books, simple puzzles and anything that she can play with out doors.

This past week Uncle Dean came up for a visit and we all experienced Danika's first visit to the State Fair...she's hooked!! It was so fun seeing the sights and sounds through Danika's eyes.
