Today is Danika's 2nd birthday! We cannot beleive how fast time has flown. Last night Dan and I were talking about how slow time moved until we finally got our referral and traveled to China and how fast time has gone since.
We are so thankful for the gift of our precious little girl. Danika is sweet, generous, kind, and so loving (in addition to plenty of typical two year old behavior) :-)
This was our first morning home since returning home from a week of vacation and it was off to a slow start. Danika hasn't been sleeping the best and this morning she did not want to get up and face the day, even if it was her birthday!
We dressed her in her birthday outfit, cute new jeans (with 'poppets' (pockets) in the front AND back) and her "Birthday Girl" t shirt to wear to daycare. She wasn't excited to get in the car and head out to 'school'. We kept hearing about "Rick's Mountain House" where we stayed on vacation.
Once Dan carried her in to daycare all was good. Her friend Anna was there with birthday greetings and they served egg bake with ham, so Danika was ready to greet the day then.
This afternoon Mamma will bring cupcakes, party hat and balloons to daycare to celebrate. Happy Birthday Little Cupcake, we love you and and are thankful for the precious gift of you!!

Happy Birthday Danika! I love "watching" her grow up. They were so little last year and they are growing up so fast!
