Last week Danika was able to go to Bible School for the first time. She LOVED it! I asked her the other day what her favorite part of Bible School was and she said, "The Princess". Each night a Princess came and told the students a Bible Story. This Princess had Danika's undivided attention! There were several other things Danika loved about Bible School: She got to play in the "jumpy house" the first night, she got a snack every night, she learned new songs and did a new craft each night and she also loved having supper at church every night during Bible School.
Miss Sienna got to go to Bible School one night with her big sister since Daddy had to work late. She fit right in with the big kids, "sush-ing" the other kids in line so they would pay attention to the leader, eating her first popcicle, sitting next to big sister during story time and getting to play games with all the big kids. She loved getting her own bowl of popcorn and glass of water during snack time too! A great week for both girls!
We also celebrated Father's day and Daddy's Birthday in the past week. Daycare held a special Father's Day breakfast with the theme of "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" Both girls were decked out in their coordinating "My Daddy is Awesome" shirts and thoroughly enjoyed sharing breakfast with Daddy. A great way to make daddy and girls feel very special.
In Early June Mama's whole family got together to celebrate Grandpa and Grandma's Pattycake's 50th Anniversary and Grandpa's 80th birthday. Danika got to ride in a canoe for the first time and both girls played with their many cousins. Danika and Sienna loved their first "camping" experience!
Daddy's birthday was celebrated with a soccer ball cupcake cake. Danika helped Mommy decorate the cake and it turned out great. We celebrated a bit early because Daddy's birthday fell during Bible School Night.
The girls and I are so thankful for their Godly Daddy as well as their Godly Grandfathers in our lives. They are a blessing every day and we are thankful for them.
Lastly, we are humbled, honored and thankful that we live in this Land of the Free and the Brave! God Bless the USA!
