Today, April 1, 2010 is Sienna's first birthday! We are really missing her today and had hoped we would have her home to celebrate this special day together. Today is likely the first day that Sienna will know she has a family who loves her that is waiting for her in a far away place called Minnesota. As soon as we received our Pre Approval (PA) to adopt Sienna we sent her a care package to be delivered to her today. Included in the package was a photo album of pictures of us, Danika, Grandparents and her room with captions explaining who we are as well as toys, clothes, a blanket, and a stuffed animal. We also included a letter telling her about us and that we were waitng for her and were anxious to bring her home. We sent our care package off to a forwarding service in Guangzhou, China and arranged for a birthday cake and the package to be delivered to Sienna on her special day. We can't begin to explain how hard it is to be away from your baby on the day that marks her first year of life. On a happier note, in recent weeks we have been sent many updated photos of our baby girl, some of which are posted here! Happy Birthday Sweet Baby Sienna, we love you!
