Happy 11 months to me!

School boy walking to class
We have been enjoying our time in guanngzhou. Yesterday while Danika napped Karen went out and hit the streets shopping. There's lots to buy and not a lot of time to do it in. The bargaining is so much fun! After shopping we went to dinner with our group at a very good cantonese restaurant - it was delicious and Danika behaved well despite the fact we were eating out!! We had plenty of banana bread along to keep her satisfied.
This morning we went to breakfast and Danika tried hash browns and loved them. I think she's got some German in her after all! I also am convinced she is definitely related to Grandpa Budensiek - she LOVES cars - if there are cars on the street to watch she is a happy camper. She especially loves black luxury sedans.
We said goodbye to Lisa and Sue this morning. We'll miss them. We'll see Sue in a few weeks but hopefully it won't be another four years before we see Lisa.
We also went out to the beautiful gardens here at the White Swan Hotel...it's like a tropical paridise.
We just had lunch at Lucy's - good old American Burgers and fries...and yes - Danika had her share of fries!
Tomorrow is our American Consulate Appointment - where we will take the Oath of Citizenship on Danika's behalf. It will be a special day!
