Official

Today per China, she is officially ours. I will apoligize no photos with this post but promise some tomorrow. Very tiring day. We spent the morning at the government office making it official. It was a long 3 to 3.5 hours but also very cool. They had a ceromoney like a wedding almost that we promise we will never abandon or abuse and at the end you are officially a family. Yeah photos of it tomorrow. Sorry for misspells too. Then a quick lunch and then we (I) Dan got a chance to meet with the orphanage director to ask questions. That was about a two hour meeting with me and about 5 other families. Got general info about her area and also able to ask specific questions about her. Oh and at the official ceromoney we got a gift, it is a gold plated plate. Very nice. Anyway found out she is very active per the director, but did not need to tell me that at this point. Also she likes to be held and does not like to be put down. She is very anxious in strange surroundings, which made the morning 3-3.5 hours make perfect sense and also was why it felt like 8. She is just settling in to sleep right now in Karen's arms. She does not like to be sitting alot in a lap she would much perfer to be in your arms and standing or walking. She has eaten very good today. She loves Rice congee, which is basicly watered rice. Tonight at supper she had about 2.5 cups of it. Plus a 110ml of formula plus some egg. Most families went out for dinner tonight all together arranged by our guide. Very good. We had some Sichuan food. Spicy but very flavorful. Could not get Dad to try the spicy dishes though. Think Danika is teething. Well enough of my random blurbs for now. For me it is good night and for most reading this it is Good Morning.

So glad you had the chance to talk to the SWI folks & get more info. You're doing well if little D is eating guys - congrats on that! Hope the rest of your trip goes well. Again, your daughter is lovely.

Congrats on Danika being officially yours! It sounds like a very cool ceremony and what a nice gift you got. My fave pic of her so far is her tongue sticking out for Cheerios! Oh and the one where she is sleeping on Dan's chest while he is holding her. Too precious. Can you believe how long you waited for that moment? Just amazing.
